Eye safe laser range finder

Institution: Institut za Fiziku
Contractor: Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection
Contract type: National Development Project
Status: New
Begin: 01.03.2009. End: 01.03.2010.
Leadership: Dr. Branislav Jelenković
Contrnote:
Project for eye-safe hand rangefinder assume design, development, and manufacturing of: Laser emitter at 1.54μm wavelength, relay optics, electronics, and necessary mechanical parts.
Multidiscipline member team from fields of laser physics, optics, electronics, and machine engineering is engaged for building up the device.
Although there is need for such device, it has never developed till now in our country (Serbia).
This rangefinder has to pass appropriate standards (JUS, IEC, and military) for measuring devices containing laser. Due to this fact special care will be taken while designing, choosing and implementing certain optical and electronic components.
