Scientific Computing Laboratory Facilities


High performance computing at Scientific Computing Laboratory consist of the PARADOX cluster and of the servers and worker nodes making up the AEGIS01-PHY-SCL Grid site.

AEGIS01-PHY-SCL is the central resource of the Serbian National Grid Initiative AEGIS, and the primary platform for SCL simulations. The current configuration has 30 worker nodes and 6 server nodes. Each node has 4 Xeon HT processors at 2.8 GHz with 1GB RAM. The site runs Scientific Linux 4.5 with combined LCG and gLite middleware, and supports Virtual Organizations: AEGIS, Atlas, CMS, SEE-GRID, SEE, ESR, Dteam and OPS.

   AEGIS01-PHY-SCL

PARADOX is SCL`s developmental cluster. The current configuration consists of Xeon - based nodes (dedicated to running ABAQUS software) and an additional AMD test node consisting of 8 Opteron CPUs running at 2.6 GHz with 32GB RAM.
