08.12.2010. :: Senior IPB researcher becomes APS Fellow

Our colleague, Prof. Zoran Lj. Petrovic has been honored by the American Physical Society and has become their newest Associated Fellow. The prestigious position was awarded to him for "Fundamental investigations of charged particle transport in low temperature plasmas and their interactions with bounding surfaces". Prof. Petrovic was nominated by the Society`s Division for Atomic, Molecular, & Optical Physics (DAMOP). The Fellowship is given by nomination only, and is awarded to a select number of APS members. We congratulate our colleague for this recognition of his outstanding research effort.

This award is not only a personal recognition, but also represents the success of the Institute of Physics Belgrade as a whole, particularly of its National Center of Excellence for Application of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology, Biomedicine and Ecology founded by Prof. Petrovic.
